  18.      SINGAPORE -- November 8, 1993 -- Creative Technology Ltd. has 
  19.      announced that it has licensed Intel's standard-setting Indeo* video 
  20.      technology and will incorporate Intel's i750* Video Processor family 
  21.      into future digital video product lines.

  23.      Because of its programmability, Intel's i750 video processor family 
  24.      will allow Creative to implement Intel's scalable Indeo video 
  25.      compression, as well as its own proprietary video compression 
  26.      algorithms designed for video conferencing into new video offerings.  
  27.      Programmability also enables end-users to upgrade their systems with 
  28.      various compression algorithms.  Further, the i750 video processor 
  29.      supports the one-step recording capability of Indeo video.  This 
  30.      one-step recording process requires less hard disk storage space by 
  31.      eliminating the need for video files to be saved to the hard disk and 
  32.      then later compressed.

  35.      third-party hardware developers to provide high-performance digital 
  36.      video solutions on a single add-in board.  Creative believes that 
  37.      Intel's technology will also be particularly useful for porting 
  38.      ShareVision's compression technology into new products for the 
  39.      emerging desktop video-conferencing marketplace," said K.S. Chay, 
  40.      president and COO of Creative Technology.  "This license agreement, 
  41.      along with other industry partnerships, strengthens Creative's 
  42.      commitment to supporting multiple video formats, unlike other 
  43.      companies that support only proprietary compression formats."

  53.      Intel's Indeo video is a software technology that allows for 
  54.      software-only playback on Intel486* and Pentium* processor-based 
  55.      personal computers.  Indeo video delivers "free" video playback to the 
  56.      desktop by eliminating the need for add-on hardware to 
  57.      playback video files.  Indeo video is supported in Microsoft's Video 
  58.      for Windows, IBM's OS/2 R2.1 and Ultimedia Video In, and Apple 
  59.      Computer's QuickTime for Windows.  Many leading multimedia software 
  60.      applications, such as Adobe's new Premiere for Windows digital 
  61.      movie-making tool, include drivers to support Intel video format 
  62.      clips.
